Eleanor Glass - Solicitor

Eleanor joined Goldman Bailey as a Consultant Solicitor specialising in immigration, asylum and human rights law in December 2016, having also spent a portion of her training contract on secondment at the firm in 2012.

Eleanor qualified as a solicitor in 2013, having worked in immigration and asylum law since 2008 and having also studied International Refugee Law during her Masters at Nottingham University prior to this. She has previously worked as a solicitor at a niche immigration firm, Elizabeth M Millar Solicitor, and Wilson Solicitors LLP.

Eleanor has extensive experience of her specialism, including asylum and humanitarian protection claims, family and private life claims (Article 8), health and suicide cases (Article 3), cases involving bail and detention, deportation, visit visas and other entry clearance applications, European applications and registration and naturalisation for British citizenship. She has a particular interest in family and private life cases and deportation, particularly those involving children. She has represented clients in bail hearings, asylum and immigration hearings in the First Tier and Upper Tier Tribunals and Court of Appeal, as well as judicial review in the Upper Tribunal and the High Court.

She not only has a wealth of experience in the legal aspects of asylum and immigration but also with the human impact through her experience in volunteering with charities such as Detention Action, Body and Soul and Refugees at Home.

A client recently commented that, ‘I think she is an exceptional young woman both in her capacity as a Solicitor and in her caring support for all of us throughout all the ups and downs, twists and turns of this case which has been so distressing at times’.
